James-Morgan Tudor began costume design whilst studying theatre at university and chose costume as his technical skill. James developed into professional acting but soon realised that costume was where his passion lay. Boleyn Designs was created for fun out of an intense interest in historical costumes and period clothing and has now become more than just a hobby. James drafts all the patterns himself, often adapting period originals. These beautiful, historically accurate costumes and period clothing are now being produced for local theatre productions as well as individual use.
